It takes two to lie. One to do the lying, and one to listen and believe the lie. I have had a lot of dealings with lies, myself. And I haven't decided which hurts the most - the fact that someone so close to you could lie straight to your face or the fact that you were stupid enough to believe the lie. And once you've called the person out on the lie, they only continue to pile on lie after lie, after lie. It's when they get angry about it and start blaming other people for calling them out, that you know there's a real problem here. It's your lie, you have no one to blame but yourself. You can be angry because the truths are coming out into the open, angry about the fact that your lies are exposed. But to be angry at someone else for your lying? It makes no sense to me. It only further shows how guilty you are in my eyes. Of course, I know this. I just hope others are aware of it as well.

Jimmy Bissette, also known by his trademark logo, Crowz Eye has been an artist for twenty years. He discovered his talent at an early age with his first love being paper and pencil. He made a name for himself under Reflecting Sol Designs which he has progressed into Crowz Eye Designs, now known as Crowz Eye Ink & Art. As my own personal tattoo artist (and I’m proud to say, spouse) I thought he would make a great addition to this site and to start off my column the right way.

Q - What made you first get into the tattoo industry?

CE - After years of the question "Why don't you do tattoos?" I decided to give it a try after not having a legitimate answer, being how much I enjoyed getting tattooed. It's since been five years and has consumed the majority of my artistic outlet.

Q - Tell me how you went about learning to tattoo.

CE - Simply practice. I began by tattooing myself, then friends that trusted my skill level. It didn't take long to become comfortable with the transformation from pencil to machine.

Q - In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge in the tattoo industry?

CE - Biggest challenge? I wouldn't claim any technique or style of tattooing to be challenging. I'd say it was more the cliental base. In other words, people wanting cheap work instead of a nice piece of art. I really don't understand that concept.

I'm unsure whether I'm amused or angered by the fact that SHIT artists are working in our tattoos shops, getting their names out there. It amuses me that these artists actually think that they spit out good work. It amuses me how highly they constantly speak of themselves and their level of skill. It angers me that people actually buy into it.

News flash - you are NOT God's gift to the world. You're the fat, lazy, disgusting scum of the earth.

It also angers me that these "artists" speak of doing custom work, when their "custom" work consists of tracing images from off the internet. Or better yet, stealing a real artist's work!
